THE DOCTORAL THESIS

Accompaniment of thesis research projects

Supervised scientifically by a member of GEMTEX (ENSAIT Laboratory) to carry out his or her research work, the doctoral student benefits from all of the establishment’s state-of-the-art equipment.

He is an employee of the company and benefits from a work contract. The work is monitored at regular intervals and jointly by the thesis director and the industrial manager.

Public funding is available to help companies recruit doctoral students. Part of the salary and charges are covered according to the salary.

Among these schemes are the CIFRE. They bring together a company, a young graduate with a master’s degree and a research laboratory to work on a research project within the framework of a doctorate. The company receives a fixed annual grant of 14,000 euros and pays the doctoral student a minimum gross annual salary of 23,484 euros (1957 euros/month).

The company and the doctoral student sign an employment contract, either a permanent contract or a three-year fixed-term contract. To be eligible for a CIFRE, you must hold a master’s degree and be enrolled in a doctoral program, without any nationality requirement. The student who wishes to benefit from a CIFRE must apply to the ANRT during the year preceding registration for the first year of the doctorate.

The company can also benefit from GEMTEX’s support with the establishment of a research agreement between the company and the laboratory, complementary to the CIFRE scheme and eligible for the CIR.
