Recruiting an intern
Throughout the school year, a dedicated department and some 30 school tutors ensure that these internships run smoothly. The internship department centralizes documents, validates subjects and draws up agreements. Teachers follow students during their internships by telephone, e-mail or company visits.

Supervised scientifically by a member of GEMTEX (ENSAIT’s laboratory), doctoral students can carry out their research using all the company’s state-of-the-art equipment.
They are salaried employees of the company and benefit from an employment contract. Work is monitored at regular intervals, jointly by the thesis director and the industrial manager.
Public funding is available to help companies recruit doctoral students. Part of the salary and social security contributions are paid according to the remuneration.
These schemes include the CIFRE. They bring together a company, a young graduate with a master’s degree and a research laboratory to work on a doctoral research project. The company receives an annual lump-sum grant of 14,000 euros and pays the doctoral student a minimum gross annual salary of 23,484 euros (1957 euros/month).
A three-year permanent or fixed-term contract is signed between the company and the doctoral student. To qualify for a CIFRE, students must hold a master’s degree and be enrolled in a doctoral program, regardless of nationality. Students wishing to benefit from a CIFRE must apply to the ANRT in the year preceding their registration for the 1st year of their doctorate.
Companies can also benefit from GEMTEX support by signing a research agreement between the company and the laboratory, which complements the CIFRE scheme and is eligible for the CIR.

GEMTEX has recognized expertise in supporting you in your Research Development Innovation (RDI) projects, within the framework of public-private partnerships (research collaboration, CIFRE thesis, etc.).
These collaborations can involve improving existing products by integrating new technologies, research, design or development of new products, etc. Lasting from 1 to 3 years on average, these projects can be carried out as part of a post-doctoral mission, a thesis, etc., and expenses are eligible for the CIR.
ENSAIT can help you develop your collaborative projects at regional, national (PSPC) and European (H2020) levels.
We can help you identify funding opportunities, set up projects (engineering), negotiate grant agreements and consortium agreements, and manage the administrative and financial aspects of your projects.
You can find examples of collaborative projects in which we are involved on the GEMTEX website (gemtex.fr).
These projects can benefit from public funding such as :
Service provision
Expertise and services
ENSAIT can provide you with its expertise in drawing up specifications, choosing technological solutions, identifying partners/suppliers, etc. These are intellectual services.
You can also call on ENSAIT under service contracts to produce samples, characterize your products, carry out trials or tests (non-standardized)…
What you need to know about service contracts:
- Not a research activity
- Obligation to use all material and human resources to achieve results
- Full costs borne by the company
- Ownership of results by the company within the framework of the objectives set by the service contract

Feasibility studies
ENSAIT’s teams can help you carry out a feasibility study to develop a new product or improve an existing one…
This is a short-term study (6 to 9 months) for which the laboratory deploys all material and human resources to achieve the objectives and expected results.
On the basis of the specifications produced, and after discussions between the two parties, a study proposal is drawn up under defined technical, financial and deadline conditions. Research expenditure entrusted to ENSAIT is eligible for the CIR.

The Continuing Education department can meet your needs and guide you in the design of your textile training program. From an introduction to the textile professions, enabling your employees to grasp the basic concepts and principles, to the design of an ultra-specific training course responding to an industrial issue, our teacher-researchers adapt to each of your specifications and to each contact person.
Our training sessions generally accommodate between 1 and 6 people, so that each participant can put what they’ve learned into practice on our machines in the best possible conditions.
Our principle remains the same for each training course: listen to you to understand your particular needs, design and adjust the training program to your requirements, and pass on new skills to your employees in both English and French.
